This truffle contains a butter cream that is sublty flavored with Cognac. The typical flavor of the liquor combines perfectly with the dark chocolate coating and the delicate almond chips with which this truffle is coated. Cognac is a brandy that originates from the Cognac region in France and must be made from a mixture of 3 different type of grapes: ugni blanc, folle blanche, and colombard grapes. The wine produced from these grapes is high in acid and low in alcohol and gives Cognac its attractive flavor.
